I have odd shaped zucchini from my CSA too that I don't think will really be able to be made into boats. you can do this with other stuff, too.. like pesto.. chop up some fresh basil & freeze it in water for later use (dry basil doesn't have much flavor & the best way to "store" basil is to freeze it in cubes).. you can make other blends of herbs & freeze them, too.. if you don't want to use water, you can use chicken/beef/veggie broth.. hope i gave you some ideas!
